Halloween 2010

Halloween

The Gang had a blast this All Hallows Eve. The House was decorated in ghoulish things, including a graveyard and guillotine (courtesy of Grumpa Russell) And we all dressed up! This is our first year we stayed home and waited to scare the Poop out of anyone who had the guts to come to the door, so we didn't get as many visitors as we anticipated but there's always next year!! *evil laugh* OmmaaaaHahahahahahahahahahaha!

They got to go to almost all of the Concerts including Hinder, Collective Soul and Clint Black (Joanna didn't go to Clint Black she was having fun playing with Bunnies).

Visiting Riverfront Park

Michael and I decided to take the girls on the Sky Ride at Riverfront. The View was pretty, even though Michael wanted a picture of the out house that fell over, MEN?!  But other then that my only complain is that the ride is to short, it's to bad it doesn't go over the hole park!

Day at the Park

Feeling restless, the Gang and I went to run off some energy at Misson Park. We all had a great time, well I think the three kids had the best time (the 10, 14 and the 32 year old) on the purple T-Rex. You gotta love them! Maybe it's spring fever a little late! LOL!

Down One Member

Joanna has flown the coop. Well actually she went to Chicago for a couple of days to see her Sister Alexandra graduate High School ( Congrats) and to visit her Daddy before he goes back to Germany. Then her Grandparent's and her are on the way to Louisiana for a month or so. We had a rocky start to the trip when I got to the airport, I didn't have her Birth Certificate or my Drivers Licence. Well I found out since I was dropping her off I didn't need her Birth Certificate, and then after extra security, a pat down and them checking everything I had with me for explosives I got to learn to keep my license with me the hard way! (Bad Devin) Well after that bit of fun, Joanna and I got (oh how do I say this nicely) we had an strongly advised extend stay, (we were stuck at the airport) due to bad weather. Southwest had 4 plane diverted one to Boise, one to Seattle, one to Yakima, and last was cancelled. So we sat there hoping for the fog to lift so her plane would try coming back after a while. Her plane was supposed to leave at 11:35am and didn't get in the air until 2:40pm. Wow what a day, but even though we really didn't have much to do, we still had fun hanging out with each other and of course after a while Joanna like she always does finds a friend. There was a family stuck like us and they had a 10 year old girl, who just happened to have a Nintendo DS. So Joanna past the rest of the time with her and then right after their plane arrived hers was 5 minute behind it. So all in all we can chalk this up as a good day! Love you Joanna! Have Fun!!

Dirt, Bikes and a 4 Wheeler

The Gang and I went dirt biking on Memorial Day weekend and had a blast! Kayla and Joanna had been going with Uncle Ken for awhile now but on this occasion Dad and I came along. Michael learned how to ride a motorcycle for the first time with minimal damage. Joanna and I rode the 4 wheeler trying to keep up with Kayla and her friend Kaylyn and her brother Justin. We all had so much fun. Dad and I were pretty soar the next day :)! But is was totally worth every pain full step.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Joanna and I had a wonderful time at Breakfast at Tiffany's, the spring event put on by Beta Sigma Phi. It was the Spring Event/Mother's Tea for the year. It was a fabulous time! Joanna and I sat at a table near the front of the room with some Sister's from a different chapter and then we got served a wonderful variety of different foods on beautiful platters. We both entered the costume contest and Joanna WON! Everyone loved her outfit. I think everyone at our table to include me voted for her. She received a paper weight that looks like a HUGE Diamond. Then we had a couple of speaker's that have us some jewelry cleaning and care tips and then some history on Tiffany's. We ended the event with a test, yes a test on the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and Joanna got more right then I did :). Well is was so much fun! Can't wait for next year, I love hanging out with my Angel!

First Time Fishing

On Saturday Joanna and I met Uncle Ken at his house and left for the lake. We went of all things FISHING! Joanna was so happy she finally was taught how to fish! She caught some Sun Fish and Carp! We through the Sun Fish back and kept the carp. You should have seen her! Fishing is like second nature to her. Justin and her caught about 24 Carp before we called it a day. I sure was tired of ducking for fear of a hook in any of my soft tissue. But I came away unscathed. Yay! All in all it was a fantastic day. And my Little Fisher Girl had a great time!

Breakfast with the Fishes

On Sunday the Gang and I went the the Annual Fisherman's Breakfast in Medical Lake at the Fire Department. I hadn't been to it in years for one reason or another. And well it was just as good as I remember. The guy's at the fire house sure know how to cook breakfast! We had pancakes, sausage, hash browns, and eggs! Yummmmy! After wards we went and woke up Grumpa Russell and Auntie Shele, who were still sleeping while all that good food was going on. Crazy! LOL. Well if you are ever in the area at the beginning of fishing season I recommend to go to the Fisherman's Breakfast! Awesome Grub!

Easter

Spring Break ended with Easter Sunday, Kayla had never had a good old fashion Easter so we showed her how we roll our eggs up here. Saturday Joanna was at a friend's spending the night so Michael and Kayla dyed the eggs and put stickers all over them, (I got the cool camouflage egg dying kit) and after Michael and Kayla went and picked up Joanna on Sunday the girl's went egg crazy. They hunted plastic candy filled eggs and hard boiled eggs and also found bubbles and chocolate bunnies, then I told them the Easter Bunny LOVED the hot tub and so they ran in the back and found their special Easter Gifts. After all the eggs were found the Gang and I piled in the car and headed up to Elk to spend some time with Aunt Donna. She cooked a ham and boy was it good! We pet the cows, waved at the not so friendly horses and watch the duck named Daffy wattle to the barn. Then the four wheelers came out and Kayla was taught how to drive the smaller one and then we couldn't get either of the girls off of them to go home.

Spring Break

Spring Break started on March 26th and boy did the Gang and I put the U in FUN. The girls started the weekend with spending the night with some friends. Then we went to the Scenic View of the Colombia River, over the river we went and found the coolest shop with cement dinosaurs and the shop sold gem stones and other precious stones, back over the river to the Wild Horse Monument, the gang and I hiked up the hill and played on the Big Iron Horses. The Gang and I even went to Mt. Spokane and played in the snow! We had a snowball fight that I believe I won :)-  Then after that we went rollerskating at Pattison's.  The in between times we all spent watching movies, playing on the computer, crafting, playing hide and go seek in the dark or going out to eat. We really had a good time and didn't want to go back to the daily grind of real life.

Joanna's Birthday Party

The Gang and I celebrated Joanna's BIG FIRST DOUBLE DIGIT BIRTHDAY, on March 6th, even though her birthday was on February 23rd, we couldn't swing it till this last weekend. Wow the BIG 10! Well she had a Hollywood Glamour Party at the Pizza Factory that now has a separate room you can reserve (very sweet). Gold, Silver and Black was all over the room, we even had a red carpet. Michael played security/body gaurd and dressed in a black suit, black tie, and white shirt. He even put his ear bud in that he uses at work. We made him a clip board with the names of the friends that were coming and he harassed them as they came to the door. Kayla dressed up all glamourous and was an awesome DJ. She was a big help with all the game's we were playing. All the guess's had a great time eating pizza, drinking soda, playing game's like a pinata, pin the tail, the name game, bingo, and musical chair's (music provided by DJ Kayla) and then we opened presents and ate cake (made by Mom and assited by Jamie). We were having such a great time that we didn't even notice when the parents came to get the party guest. I just couldn't help but feel sad that my little girl is now in the double digits, wow time goes way to fast!

Basket Ball Star

Kayla started basketball on January 4th and she started the season in Varsity. WOW! How cool is that! Micheal and I tried to go to as many of her games as possible. She is really good and seems to enjoy the sport. Here are some pictures.
